QA Manager Code: 200 01 Location: Several locations including West and Midwest Job Description: Plan, organize, control and coordinate activities of the QA department of a plant manufacturing frozen foods. Develop, evaluate, recommend and implement HACCP, SSOP’s and GMP’s, quality assurance, quality control and process control programs. Responsible for all segments of the QA functions either directly or through subordinate supervisors. Manage laboratory equipment, materials, procedures and implement operational safety guidelines. Recommend and implement corrective and preventative measures. Promote and ensure the hygienic handling of product and other sanitary requirements including HACCP, SSOP’s and GMP’s to ensure cleanliness in the preparation and handling of an edible product. Coordinate with the Pest Control Company for the pest control service assure that the process is within USDA/FDA/State requirements and compliance and serve as an interface with any Federal/State agency and inspectors during routine inspections. Take corrective action to different types of problems that may be encountered make recommendations for correction and total elimination by communications, maintenance of uniformity with in the department and installing quality awareness attitude with all employees to do it right the first time.
