R&D Manager Code:100 4 Location: Call our office Job Description: Develop new products using internal and external resources to deliver products within time, taste, functionality, cost and regulatory expectations. Work may range from marketing driven initiatives to customer specific projects and include the management of the R&D process from concept development through to scale-up. Develop relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders. Anticipate customers’ needs and respond to their requests by developing new innovative options using our core products/processes or consistent with our core technologies. Plan and document plant trials for the successful commercialization of new products. Manage the development process to ensure complete transparency and trace ability of work. We are looking for someone that can be flexible with their schedule to support testing as necessary – occasionally, plant tests must be conducted during off shifts or even on weekends. Requirements: *BS Food Science, Bakery Science or related. *10+ years of experience in product development of bakery products – including some experience in cereal, cookies or crackers from initial concept thru to production. * Plant and scale-up experience needed. * Must be well balanced between the strategic view of the work and the execution aspects of the job. * Must have excellent project management, communication and presentation skills and successfully able to work with operations personnel.
